Wire cables are prefabricated systems used for suspending structures. They consist of a multiwire cable with a closed (FLC) or open (OS) construction, forked or cylindrical anchorages, and optionally, a tensioning device. They are designed for use as hangers or suspension cables in bridge structures. In terms of static and fatigue parameters, they are classified between rod tendons and strand cabled systems.
